Our oil cleansing balms are multi-use because we believe getting the most out of your products and your investment in your skincare! The unique formula of this cleansing balm allows it to be used for 3 functions: makeup remover, oil cleansing and intensive moisturizing.
The base for both formulas of the oil cleansing balms includes: Organic Sweet Almond Oil, Organic Castor Oil, Raw Unrefined Shea Butter, Triple Filtered Cosmetic Grade Beeswax, and Rosemary Extract.
The difference between our two formulations is in the essential oils.
The Gentle Balm contains Copaiba Essential Oil. Copaiba is believed to help support collagen production which helps your skin be more elastic, fighting off saggy skin. More benefits of this oil include moisturizing, toning, rejuvenating, healing scar tissue, antibacterial and ant-inflammatory fighting off acne, and fighting free radicals that cause premature aging.
*In many circles Copaiba is considered safe at a 1% or less dilution for pregnant and nursing mothers. However, please consult your OB or Midwife before purchasing to be sure it's right for you*
Our oil cleansing balms have a .5% dilution rate of essential oils. We chose this dilution rate because of how sensitive and fragile the skin on our faces can be.
DIRECTIONS:
For Oil Cleansing: Apply a small amount to face using DRY hands. Rub into skin for 30-60 seconds. Then Cover face with a warm, damp towel to open pores and allow dirt and grime to melt away with the balm. Once the towel becomes cool wipe off all of the oil cleansing balm. Follow with rinsing the face with cool water and patting dry.
For Moisturizing: After cleaning your face, take a very small amount (roughly pea size, maybe less) and rub it betwee nyour fingers to melt. Then pat onto dry, clean skin. Best used at nighttime for a deep hydration.
For Removing Make Up: Apply a small amount to face using DRY hands to dissolve makeup. Then wipe off. Follow with a facial cleanser or follow the oil cleansing directions above and forego secondary cleansing.
(If you have oily skin or wear makeup, we recommend always double cleansing)
Why do we emphazise using DRY hands when handling this product? All our products are 100% natural, non-toxic and PRESERVATIVE FREE! Due to being preservative free it is imperative that you only handle the product with clean, dry hands to prevent the growth of bacteria. Our products also need to be used in their entirety within 6 months of use to again maintain sanitary standards.
